After more than 33 successful years, the Johann Strauss Ensemble is announcing a major change in its operation. The original founder, Erich Buchmann, is placing the internationally celebrated Johann Strauss Ensemble, which was founded by him, in the hands of a younger team of two aspiring musicians. Bernadette Bartos (Mag.art) and Josef Herzer will now take over the management of the ensemble.
Josef Herzer has been the concertmaster of the Johann Strauss Ensemble for many years and is also first violinist with the Bruckner Orchester and violinist in the Fritz Kreisler piano trio.
Bernadette Bartos, a Lieder pianist who accompanies the Mozarteum University Salzburg completes the team of managers.
